Hey all we've got some really interesting things on this week and a few little updates too! --Society Awards Update-- --Facebook Talk-- --Annual Redbrick Table Quiz-- --Society Awards Update-- Just a quick update for anyone that didn't know, the DCU Society Awards we held last Wednesday night. One of the highlights of the night was Redbrick being shortlisted for the best society award. It was very close however in the end Dance Soc won. This was a great result for Redbrick, hopefully next year we can go the whole way and make Redbrick best society 2012-'13. --Facebook talk-- Wednesday 11th at 5pm. This week in coordination with the school of computing, we have organised a talk from Ryan Mack a Senior Engineer from Facebook in the U.S. His talk is being held in HG 23 in the Nursing Building on Wednesday the 11th at 5pm. It will detail the development and implementation of Timeline and recent Photo-related projects on the site. Also present will be Ruth McIntyre representing Facebook's university recruiting team so its a good time to make connections as well as learning something new. --Annual Redbrick Table Quiz-- We were originally aiming for next week (week10) but due to a mix up the quiz has been pushed back to Week 11. There will be amazingly wonderful prizes up for grabs, -see the list below- and to those who have enquired, the questions will be a mix of general knowledge and some techy stuff too! Our apologies for the quiz being delayed, we know you’re all eager to relieve some end of year stress with pints and a 'bitta craic', but do not fear we'll keep you posted. 1st place: External Hard drives, of some sort to be confirmed. 2nd place : Nerf guns. 3rd place: Bacon popcorn.
