Wavehunt | Intersocs Night Out | Downtime | Wimax Trial
Heya guys!! It's late but yet early... (for some). Anyway on with Week 6! ==TechWeek== How great was that? From Demonware talks to Microsoft, from installing Linux to shooting each other with Lasers. (First years kicked ass) It was quite a success, in my opinion. We had a great turn out for all the events and even managed to get some free t-shirts. (Thank you atlas!) With only one event left for Techweek I'm gonna miss it. :) ==WAVEHUNT== Saturday March 14th. 12pm under the arch in Stephens Green Park, at the entrance. Entry fee is €10 and it'll be a laugh! :) Remember you can win prizes. Full details are on http://wavehunt.redbrick.dcu.ie Which brings me to my next topic...... ==Intersocs Night Out== Longstone - 7pm Saturday March 14th. (After Wavehunt *hint*) ==A Note From The Admin== RedBrick is pleased to announce the launch of it's new services machine Morpheus, a sun x4140. Mysql, Postgres, Bitblee, Webmail, Anyterm, & DNS have all been migrated to this new machine. Remaning services such as boards, IRC, mail, mailman & imap will also be migrated shortly. As part of this migration IRC will be moving to Morpheus at Midday on Tuesday. IRC will be unavaliable during the work, which is expected to take less than one hour. ==Wimax Trial== Thanks to all those that applied to take part in our wimax trial. Applications will continue to be accepted until midnight on sunday, so you still have time to apply by mailing wimax@redbrick.dcu.ie. We will be in touch with all applicants next week with more details about the trial. That just about finishes everything for this week. Toodles, Carri x
