Bring 90 euros and passport details -Clubs and Socs Ball Tickets on sale Wednesday from 9am in Hub(30 euros) -Week 10- Intersoc Christmas Party ==EGM== As I'm sure you're all aware by now, the EGM is being held this Wednesday at 2pm in QG21. The positions that will be voted on are helpdesk, admin and secretary. There will of course be pizza, so whether you're running or just want to have your say make sure to head over. ==Kinect Development Talk== Seamus Ryan from Microsoft will be coming in this Thursday at 6pm in QG21 to talk about the Kinect SDK. He will be giving an overview of the hardware, software and how to code your own Kinect project. Want an example of what you can do with a Kinect? Check out http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Kinect/Kinect-Effect for some inspiration. ==Common Room Keycards== A limited number of common room keycards will be handed out tomorrow (Monday) between 10.30 and 11.30 am in N109. These will be strictly first come first served and will be only given to Redbrick and Engsoc members. This is just the first batch so don't worry, there will be more. ==Trip to Brussels== Want to go to FOSDEM(The Free and Open source Software Developers' European Meeting)? We'll be heading to Brussels during the intersemester break for it! The dates are February 2nd - 5th 2012. To secure your place bring 90 euros and your passport details to the EGM(this Wednesday at 2pm in QG21). The 90 euros will cover flights, accomodation, internal travel and entry to an observatory. The only spending money you'll need will be to cover your own food and drinks. Bargain! Tickets go on sale this Wednesday from 9am in the Hub and are first come first served. They will cost 30 euros. Included in that is a mulled wine reception on arrival, a buffet dinner and dancing. First 100 people to buy tickets get a free muffin. ==Overview of Week 10== Get those santa hats out! Monday of Week 10 will see the return of our annual Intersoc Christmas Party in our own private section in the Nubar. Santa has flown in all the way from the North Pole to give presents to all the good boys and girls. We'll also be filling your tummies with cake, platters and punch. That's it from me.
