Hey all, Before I start with the announce for this week I'd like to introduce myself to those who don't know me I'm Rob (Kylar) and I'm your Secretary for 2012/13. I'd also like to thank Gamma for his work as sec throughout the past year. Anyway lets get onto next weeks news and events. --New Committee-- --Connector Collaboration Event-- --Redbrick Table Quiz-- --New Committee-- As most of you already know Redbrick's new committee for 2012/13 was elected on Tuesday night. Here's a list of your Newmittee if you don't already know: Chair: James Reilly (fun). Sec: Robert Devereux (kylar). Pro: Andrew Boylan (fructus). Admins: Craig MacEntee (creadak), Vadim Clyne-Kelly (VadimCK), Shane Stacey (issac702). Webmaster: Ciaran McNally (maK). Events: Triona Barrow (polka). Treasurer: Richard Walsh (koffee). Helpdesk: Eimear Tyrell (beimear), Craig Duff (duff). Congrats to everyone that was elected, we have some cool ideas for next year. Handover of duties will be happening over the next couple of weeks. --Connector Collaboration Event-- This conference is on the 4th of April from 2-4pm in the Helix. It is being held in the hopes of making DCU student's business ideas a reality. The conference is open to anyone and everyone who wants to attend but places are limited. You can register your attendance at connector.eventbrite.com. Here's a list of the events speakers: Opening Address by Alan Kelly - TD & Minister of State Dept Transport, Tourism & Sport Mark Little - Founder of Storyful Niall Harbison - Founder of Simply Zesty Eoghan Jennings - MD Startup Bootcamp Dublin Ciaran Crean - Micks Garage There will be a brief address by each speaker followed by a panel discussion. There will be then be a mixer with tea/coffee providing an opportunity for guests and speakers to meet and share ideas after the event. This event will be a great chance to meet other people with business ideas and possibly even form partnerships for a start-up in the future. --Redbrick Table Quiz-- So the Redbrick Quiz is coming up soon, we're planning it for week 10 so keep your calendars free people, it'll be mad craic, with great prizes on the night so keeps your eyes and ears open.
