-Introduction to Python, LG26, 6.30pm Tuesday 1st of November -Resignation -Hoodie order -Week 7 Preview ==Introduction to Python== We'll be holding an introduction to Python talk tomorrow(Tuesday) at 6.30pm in LG26. Some topics which will be covered are basic data types, lists, functions and classes. If there is time, we might touch on sockets and multithreaded programs. The speaker will be David Lynam(coconut) who is a CA graduate. This will be followed by platters at the bar. ==Resignation== Paul Bunbury has resigned from his position as admin on the Redbrick committee. We'd like to thank him for all his hard work and wish him the best. If you are interested in sitting the admin test please email committee@redbrick.dcu.ie for more information. More details to follow. ==Hoodies== Want your very own Redbrick hoodie? We'll be taking orders in the Hub on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2pm. They will cost €25 and you'll need to pay upfront to confirm your order. The order will be placed in week 7 so if these times don't suit you please email committee@redbrick.dcu.ie ASAP and we can try organise and alternative payment method. ==Week 7== We have unfortunately had to postpone Q-Zar for another week, It will now be on Wednesday of week 7. Monday of week 7 will have a boolette in conjunction with Gamessoc (http://boolette.alamzy.com) and admin training will return on Thursday with more on bash scripting. That's it for now.
