Hey all we have some exciting things in store this week. ==Admin Training== ==Bowling and Q-Zar Trip== ==Downtime 2nd and 3rd November== ==Admin Training== Date: Tuesday 30th October 2012 Time: 6pm Venue: LG 25 The first session of admin training for this year is being held this coming Tuesday. This session will be an introduction to linux system administration. During this session the admin team will be teaching you the basics of linux systems including some simple shell commands, file manipulation using a shell, and linux file system heirarchy. ==Bowling and Q-Zar Trip== Our Annual Bowling and Q-Zar trip is this Wednesday the 31st. There are still a few places left so if you want to come along make sure to send us an email letting us know beforehand to secure your place on the trip. The cost is 4 euro per person which you can pay on the day. We have booked Bowling/Q-Zar in LeisurePlex in Coolock for 3pm so we will be meeting up in the common room (N109) at around 1:50/2:00 and will head from there at 2:15pm at the latest. We will be getting a 17a bus from stop 128 at the junction of Ballymun and Collin's Ave. If you want to meet us at the LeisurePlex in Coolock that's no problem. ==Downtime== There will be some scheduled downtime this coming Friday and Saturday the 2nd and 3rd of November in order for the admin team to perform updates and installsome new hardware. The systems will be coming down at after 3pm on the 2nd and will be back as soon as possible after the upgrades. During this time all redbrickservices will be unavailable and we would advise all our members to save and back up their files before this date.
