Week 10: Webmaster: Basic Javascript | Redbrick Webgroup
Hey everyone! Another icky sticky Redbricky week lies ahead; but first a big shout out to everyone who was at the Intersocs session on Thursday! It was great to meet the many Netsocs out there, and it was also super to hang with some of our own brickies, old and young. You fit into both the old and young categories kittykat o/ Anyway, here's the rundown of what's happening this week: +Webmaster: Basic Javascript - Wednesday 25/11 - 2pm - LG25 +Redbrick Webgroup - Thursday 26/11 - 5pm - CG05 ============================================================= Webmaster: Basic Javascript +Date: Wednesday 25/11 +Time: 2pm - 4pm +Location: LG25 +More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/1009245122452510/ ============================================================= Nobody in the world loves Javascript like our infamous webmaster Seán (~space), so come around to LG25 on Wednesday and prepare to be converted. If you're confused by the cool kids on the corner talking about their JSONs and their Ajax, then this talk is for you. It might also get you in the right mindset for the Redbrick Webgroup, which is conveniently on the next day... ============================================================= Redbrick Webgroup +Date: Thursday 26/11 +Time: 5pm - 6pm +Location: CG05 +More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/623634431110135/ ============================================================= Exciting news! Redbrick is on the cusp of open-sourcing the development of its glamorous website! Are you interested in helping create the face of DCU's Networking Society? Are you looking for some sweet sweet Github delta? of course you are, so look no further than the Redbrick Webgroup, where we'll be organising the making and breaking of Redbrick's online presence. This Thursday we'll be going through everything involved in the project, and taking sign-ups of whoever is interested in helping out. We swear that we're not just open-sourcing the site because we have a lazy webmaster. It'll be fun! Really! I hope.
