If you have any questions about Redbrick services, or you missed any of the talks, come along and ask and we'll be happy to help. There will be pizza! =Admin Training: Exam Prep= Date: Thursday 28th November Time: 6pm Location: L128 If you think you might be interested in running for either Webmaster or Admin in our next EGM, or perhaps you would just like to learn more about how these services are maintained, you can come along to this talk and any questions you have will be answered. There will of course be pizza! =3rd and 4th Year Project Services= Making a web application for your Third or Fourth Year Project and need somewhere to host it? Redbrick provide free Virtual Private Servers (VPS) with port 80 and 443 publicly accessible from the internet for all members. More info can be found on our wiki http://wiki.redbrick.dcu.ie/mw/Rbvm or by contacting admins@redbrick.dcu.ie. =EGM= Due to several positions on the committee becoming available we will be holding an EGM in week 11.. The date and time are currently unconfirmed. The positions that will be available are: -Systems Administrator -Webmaster -Events Officer -Secretary If you think you would be interested in running for any of the above positions you can contact us at committee@redbrick.dcu.ie . If you are interested in becoming a Redbrick System Administrator or our Webmaster you will have to sit an exam. Previous exams can be found at: http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/help/exams . =Christmas Party!= This year's Christmas Party will be in week 11 on the same day as the EGM (date and time, as of yet unconfirmed). So come along to our EGM, fill up on some pizza and then join us and several other societies for a great big party! As usual Santa will make an appearance with a big sack of goodies for everyone! =Irish Cancer Society Fundraiser= Website: http://www.mycharity.ie/event/katia_valadeaus_event/ Some members of Redbrick who have been affected by cancer are working together to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. The members will be dying their hair, getting their legs waxed (ouch!) and getting cancer related tattoos. If you would like to donate, you can contact lithium@redbrick.dcu.ie . =Trip Away: FOSDEM= Dates: 31st January - 2nd February 2014 Location: ULB Campus Solbosh,Brussels, Belgium Website: https://fosdem.org/2014/ As you might be aware, a few years ago Redbrick went on the grand voyage to Brussels to attend FOSDEM (Free Open Source Developer European Meeting). This year the committee would really love to treat you and go again. The only issue is that we would have to leave Ireland on the final day of winter exams. This could pose a problem for some people, so we would love if you could email us at committee@redbrick.dcu.ie with any alternatives that you can think of!
