Hi all. The convention season winds to a close for this calander year with Vaticon (UCD GameSoc convetion). Instead of a full weekend of games, the Vaticon crew have planned 2 'mini-con' games days, the first being held on 28th of this month. STOCS are sibsidising 10 members to attend. If you are interested in attending please mail stocs@redbrick.dcu.ie with your name and student number. This is only open to full members (sorry associates). Unfortunately the convention falls right in the middle of the two exam weeks. Some of you may be lucky enogh to have all exams done in week 1, and be able to attend. If any full members are interested, please get in touch with us soon to arrange a contingent to go. Finally, STOCS are proud to announce a War-game Minature painting competition. We will supply space marine models to participants on the 15th of this month from 2-6pm, available in the Hub at a STOCS stand. Simply take your model home, and over the course of the week, get painting. Judging will take place of all returned and painted models on Thursday, the 18th in room G11 of the Henry grattan building. Its a winner-take-all prize of a E30 Games Workshop voucher! Entry fee for this competition will be E3.
