Hi, We announced at last Wednesday's meeting that we'll be holding an EGM on Monday 11th of November. It'll start at about 7pm, and hopefully will run less than an hour, after which we'll continue with our normal STOCS meeting. The purpose of the EGM is to elect a new Chair and PRO. So far, the following candidates have announced themselves: Chair - Declan McAuley. Declan has been STOCS Treasurer and PRO on previous committees, and an active member of STOCS since first year. PRO - Stuart Clarke. Stuart is a fresher, but so far he's been a very active member of STOCS. Suzanne Fowler. Suzanne is also a fresher, and like Stuart is an active STOCS member. A reminder that candidates will be expected to give a short speech and answer questions posed by the members. On a less formal, but just as important note, we're looking for members (ideally freshers) to help us run chess, diplomacy, go and other tutorials, tournaments and competitions.
