[Stocs] STOCS Updates
Hello All, The mailing list has finally been updated so welcome all those new members whose names have been added. None of the former members have been removed from the list, however, should you wish to be removed from the mailing list please email me at werewulf@redbrick.dcu.ie and I will remove you as soon as possible. A Sillicon 6 Committee was elected last night. The results are as follows: Con Director: Graham Kavanagh (Me! *swells with pride*) Treasurer: Siobhan Dunne Secretary: Michele Kelly P.R.O.: Hugh McGuinness RPG/Larp Coordinator: Liam O.Tailliuir Wargames Coordinator: Hugh McGuinness CCGs Coordinator: Hugh McGowan Staff Coordinator: Stuart Clarke A meeting of the Sillicon 6 Committee will be held shortly. This weekend is Gaelcon 2003 and STOCS is, as usual, going to be in attendance. We began signing up people on Monday and I can confirm now that allocation for subsidisation is full, if you wish to attend, you will have to pay for your own ticket I am afraid. They cost E25 and can be purchased at the con. Some people will be meeting up in DCU on Saturday morning outside the Henry Grattan building with the intention of catching the 9:25 103 to Clontarf Castle, where the con will be held. There will be no meeting of STOCS on Monday 27th due to both Gaelcon still being running and the bank holiday (the college will be closed). Next Wednesday is the STOCS Halloween Larp (commonly known as the Easter Extravaganza (no egg jokes this year thank god.) Sares claims to have a plan for a Larp that he informs me will either be really good or really crap. I have also begun working on one that will (hopefully) be ready to run by Wednesday. It will run in the CG20, and not in the seminar room as originally intended, as the Gaming Society have a continual room booking there for every Wednesday (curse their oily hides!) 6:30pm onwards. It is vital that people wishing to participate turn up early as places will be limited and the LARP will begin by 7:00 at the latest. That's all for now. See you at Gaelcon or else STOCS on Wednesday. Werewulf
