Hi all, Welcome back to those of you who were off for reading week, hope it was a productive one!! ANTM This week Style Soc are having a screening of America's Next Top Model Cycle 11. BRAND NEW NEVER BEEN SEEN! So for those ANTM fan's out there (I know there a lot!), we will be showing episode 1 and 2. It is in QG13 on Thursday at 8pm. There will be FREE wine and other refreshments. DANDELION After the screening Style Soc will be hosting a night in Dandelion on St. Stephens Green. One of Dublin's best night club's, It's one not to be missed!!! STYLE SOC CAREERS WEEK Style Soc are hosting a Careers Week on Week 11. For those of you who are interested in a Career in the Fashion Industry, its a week for the diary! Keep an eye on your emails as it will be a jam packed week! See you all on Thursday! [Announce-style] Style Soc Trashion Show

Hi all, Thank you to everyone who showed an interest in the trip to Paris, unfortunatly all the places have been filled! We will be in contact with those who have signed up. This week Style Soc and the Students Union are organising a Trashion Show in conjunction with Green Week. We want as many people to get involved as possibe. Basically the idea is to create an outfit out of recycled materials. We will provide as much of the material as possible but if you've got anything that would make a good outfit make sure to bring it along. So after the outfit is made, there will be a catwalk set up in the Old Bar for you to display your artistic talents. If you want to get involved we are looking for teams of 5. 4 to design the outfit and one to model but alternatively you can both create and model your own design. There will be spot prizes of wine and top prizes of Halloween Ball tickets. The event is on Tuesday 21st Oct starts at 7 in the Old Bar and the Catwalk walk off is at 8. Hope to see you there! [Announce-style] Style Soc Trip to Paris

Hi again, Forgot to mention our sign up for the trip to Paris in the last e-mail. We are going to Paris on Thursday 13th Nov for two nights, returning late Sat evening. With funding it will cost in the region of E80-E100. This will include flights accomodation, airport transfer. It will also include two exibitions we will be attending, the first one is an exhibition on couture through the ages. The second exhibition is a fashion photography exhibition. We will also be visiting the Eiffel Tower, a Seine cruise which are both included. This leaves plenty of time for shopping. Sign up Thursday 16th Oct(tomorrow) at 2.30pm downstairs in the HUB. Hi all, Thanks to everyone who came to the EGM last night. I mentioned The Look magazine last night, Avril the editor asked me to pass this on to anyone who is interested in getting involved: Hello me lovelies, I'm editing The Look this year and im really sorry I couldn't make it to the EGM to encourage yis all but I'll do it now instead! The magazine is a really good way to get involved so if anyone is interested, I'm looking for writers, stylists, photographers, hair stylists, makeup artists and models. I'm also looking for a sub editor and someone for layout and design so if anyone is interested I'll be holding interviews next week for all of these positions. Don't worry, they're not scary interviews or anything so come whether you have specific ideas or are just looking to get involved! If you'd like an interview just send me an email with your name, email, what you're interested in doing etc and I'll get back to you about times. [Announce-style] STYLE SOC EGM-Tuesday 14th OCT QG13

Hi everyone, On behalf of myself and the committee I would like to welcome all our new members and welcome back all of our existing members. Our aim this year is to have our members as involved with the society as possible. So if you have an idea for an event that you think would be relevant to Style Soc, we want to hear it. Afterall its your Society. Which leads me onto my next point: STYLE SOC EGM, TUESDAY 14th Oct QG13 The aim of our EGM is to tell you what our plans are for the coming year. As well as that we will be electing our freshers rep. This is a student in first year who will become a member of our committe for the year. It is a great oppourtunity and I would recommend it to anyone. So if your interested in getting involved make sure you come along. BUT its not all business. After the EGM we will be having a Toga Party in the Old Bar. We will provide the Wine and pins and you provide the sheets! You will have a chance to design your Toga's after the EGM. There will be a prize for the best Toga! So come along get to know your fellow Style Soc members and have a good night. Hope to see you there!
