[Announce-style] STYLE SOC CARRERS WEEK
It?s Week 11 already and this week Style Soc are hosting Careers Week. There will be a number of professionals from the fashion industry on hand to share their knowledge and expertise. For those of you interested in a career in the fashion industry, we have many events not to be missed! Sorcha Tunney-Tuesday 12pm CG12 A graduate of Journalism in DCU Sorcha Tunney?s modelling career has included working with top fashion publications Vogue and Marie Claire. She has modelled for John Rocha and ?Off the Rails? and is also actively involved in charity work with Amnesty International. Sorcha will be providing us with an insight into Ireland?s modelling scene. Gareth Pitcher- Tuesday 1pm CG 12 Driven by the ambition to open an independent store stocking standout labels, fashion-obsessed 28-year-old Garret Pitcher travelled the world looking for inspiration. He opened Indigo and Cloth on South William Street in Dublin just one year ago. Lili Forberg and Corina Gaffey- Wednesday 2pm Q120 Lili Forberg Lili Forberg has recently emerged as one of Irelands hottest young photographers. Lili began as a music photographer. Her potential as a creatively driven photographer was cemented by a critically acclaimed graduate exhibition in FilmBase and a National Student Media Award for Photographer of the Year 2005. She quickly combined her twin loves of music and fashion, becoming one of the most highly requested photographers for fashion editorials and commercial work. Corina Gaffey Corina Gaffey, top Irish stylist has styled many of Lili Forberg?s shoots. She also styles for Assets and Compton Modelling Agencies. She has styled some of the most high profile campaigns in the country. Both Lili and Corina will be giving us an insight into the world of high fashion. David Cantwell- Thursday 2pm C123 David Cantwell has been involved in the photography industry for over 20 years. He has won a nu,ber of photographic awards, and only this year was awarded with the prestigious Professional Photographer of the Year Award. After years of hard work "david cantwell photography" is now recognised as one of the leading commercial photographers in Ireland. This is a great opportunity for those of you interested in any aspect of the fashion industry, so don?t miss it!
