1.  Armagh Planetarium Trip This Saturday

 

Astronomy Ireland’s extremely popular annual DayTrip to the Armagh Planetarium (one of the best in the world!) takes place this Saturday November 27. 

 

We will see their new show "Violent Universe" and, exclusively to us, a "Guide to the Night Sky" so beginners can learn the constellations. There is a huge Exhibition Hall and AstroPark with lots see all day long.  You can even visit Armagh Town for the annual Georgian Day

The Astronomy Ireland Shop 
will be open from 9am and will be serving complimentary refreshments until 10am sharp when the bus will depart for Armagh (returning to the Shop by 8pm).

 

The cost of the trip is 40euro per person including admission and coach fare.

2.  BBC 'star' to launch Sunday Opening!

 

BBC "Sky At Night" star Carl O’Beirnes will launch our Shop’s Sunday opening with a FREE workshop this Sunday (Nov.28) with two FREE Workshops on "How To Choose A Telescope"  and  "How To Take Photographs"  like the ones he shows on Sir Patrick Moore’s "The Sky At Night" BBC TV show.
 
This is to celebrate the start of the Astronomy Ireland Shop’s 
Christmas opening hours.

The Shop will be open from 10am to 6pm this and every Sunday until Christmas.

There will be reductions on EVERYTHING in the store along with many other special offers this Sunday.

Everyone who drops by will receive a FREE Hubble DVD too worth 20euro!

So if you’re thinking of getting a telescope this Christmas or you know anyone who is, please tell them the Astronomy Ireland Shop is now open every Sunday until Christmas
