From September 18 to 20, Astronomy Ireland will be attending talks on the future of Ireland's economy at the Global Irish Economic Forum being held at Farmleigh Estate. Those attending the forum include; TDs Brian Lenihan, Eamonn Ryan and Michael Martin, directors and CEOs of major global corporations, as well as the founder of Band-Aid, Bob Geldof. Delegates shall meet over three days to discuss Ireland's place in the global economy and A.I. will be there to ensure Ireland’s best interests are being looked after, in particular the growth and development of a Science Culture. For research purposes, we would like your input - are there any questions you would like us to ask at this economic forum? Please let us know before tomorrow evening by emailing sec@astronomy.ie. Did you know science and technology accounts for 60% of Ireland's GDP (agriculture is only 7%) - so we are a 'Science Nation'. Hence A.I.'s Science Culture initiative is vital to our country's future. For more information on Global Irish Economic Forum go to www.globalirishforum.ie.
