There are several special events in Irish
skies for the next few days:
- Comet Kopff is close to
Jupiter in morning skies (closest end of May/early June). See
star map to locate it on page 26 of our May magazine.
- Venus and
Mars are also in morning skies, to the lower left of Jupiter all
month.
- Neptune
is close to Jupiter, closest May 26
- Saturn is well placed for evening
viewing high in the South.
- Its moons are
putting on spectacular once-in-15-year displays right now. See
magazine Sky Diary for table of times to watch!
- New Moon on Sunday May
24.

people have been seeing, see Sky Diary pages of our magazine.
