NATIONWIDE JUPITER WATCH

Do you want to look through a powerful telescope?

Do you want to see Jupiter and its moons like you've never seen them before?

Do you want to see a storm that's been raging on Jupiter's surface for centuries?

Do you want to see what Galileo discovered 400 years ago?

If so, then come to one of Astronomy Ireland's Jupiter Watches this Friday, September 25. Watches will begin at 9pm at various locations across the country, and through the powerful telescopes that will be set up you will be treated to a close up view of Jupiter and it's larger moons. Not only this, you will be able to see the Great Red Spot, a storm hundreds of years old, adding to this already astounding sight.

The event will be a fantastic evening out for young and old, large groups and all the family and best of all the whole experience is absolutely FREE! You don't need to know anything about astronomy or space as the Astronomy Ireland staff and volunteers will be on hand to explain everything.

Currently confirmed locations are:

Cavan, Carlow, Clare, Cork,
Dublin, Louth, and Waterford
