Science Week –Jupiter Watches Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri
Astronomy Ireland will be hosting a number of Nationwide Jupiter Watches as part of our Science Week celebrations.
The main target will be the planet Jupiter which is an amazing sight in a good
quality telescope but we will also teach you how to find your way around the
sky with Ireland's most powerful hand held laser, and show you double stars,
star clusters, and more, like you have never seen them before. Ideal for
beginners (experts welcome too!). We encourage
everyone to come along with friends and family to these free events and
see Jupiter through some of Ireland's most powerful telescopes.
There
will be Watches tomorrow, Tuesday, November 9 in
Cork, Dublin and Sligo
There
will be Watches Wednesday, November 10 in Dublin and Letterkenny
There

2. Astro-Expo
Our annual Exhibition
is the ideal chance for any of you reading this, who have a telescope or
photographs, to bring them along and show them to other likeminded people. Email
(sec@astronomy.ie) or call us (01 847
0777) just to let us know how much space you might need, be it for one
photograph or a giant telescope. Everyone not exhibiting should book their
