Comet PANSTARRS Visible After Sunset

Comet PANSTARRS is visible in the evening skies and is placed right next to the Andromeda Galaxy in the northwest. The comet will be visible all night, but you can use the galaxy as a signpost, and you will see that PANSTARRS is even brighter than the famous galaxy!

Comet PANSTARRS will remain close to the Andromeda Galaxy for several days. Please check out the Astronomy Ireland magazine for a map of where to find it exactly in the sky.

For some of the latest images taken of Comet PANSTARRS, please visit www.astronomy.ie/comet.

If you see the comet, please let us know by emailing observe@astronomy.ie (with photos if you get any) so we can publish your report in an upcoming issue of Astronomy Ireland.
