Spectacular Venus, the second brightest object in the night sky, and the International Space Station manned by 3 astronauts herald the start of our Spring Evening Classes this month. In celebration of 2009, the United Nations International Year of Astronomy, we are launching our 8 week course on January 28th. These classes are aimed at the general public and will delve into the exciting world of astronomy and tell you everything you ever wished to know, without the need for maths skills. Learn about the history of astronomy and the people who pioneered it, the mysterious world of dark energy and dark matter, how the planets formed, how exactly a telescope works, and much, much more.
