Highlights of the exhibition include the largest meteorite ever found in Ireland weighing in at 27 kg, as well as a sample of Moon rock displayed for the first time in Ireland, having been presented to the Irish State from the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. The exhibition is a must see for anyone with an interest in space and is well worth the day trip wherever you are in the country! Speaking at the ceremony David Moore said "This is an astounding exhibition. Full credit goes to everyone at the National Museum of Ireland. They have done a superb job with the information and presentation, plus the exhibits are out of this world. I learnt a lot about all the Irish meteorites myself. 10 out of 10!"
