The classes are aimed at the beginner and cover everything you ever wanted to know about the Universe but were afraid to ask! There are 8 classes in total and each session is two hours long, from 7:30pm - 9:30pm with a short break in the middle. Content covered includes a step by step class on telescopes and how to use them as well as: Introduction to the Night Sky, The Sun and the Moon, Planets and Stars, History of Astronomy, Deep Sky Objects, The Big Bang, Cosmology, Plus much more... Classes will begin on Wednesday, February 3, in Cork, Dublin, Dundalk, Letterkenny, Sligo, Tralee and Waterford. Classes will begin on Tuesday, February 9 in Athlone, Galway and Limerick. Normally classes cost 180euro (130euro members rate) however if you sign up this weekend, classes will cost just 144euro (104 members rate) and includes membership to Astronomy Ireland.
