Our April 14 Lecture was a great success with over 70 people attending to hear Brian Harvey explain what happened on "The Last Voyage of Columbia". You can watch this talk on our website NOW by going to http://www.astronomy.ie Then click "Lecture Webcasts" on the sidebar and then click "April" (there are 10 previous months' talks online too!) After Brian's talk you can hear David Moore describe the Transit of Mercury coming up on May 7 (see May issue of A&S, out soon). Thanks to our colleagues at DCU for making all this possible. 3. The May issue of our magazine arrives in our office/Shop on Wednesday (the same day some of us are due to go on the VB show!). Therefore we need even more volunteers to come in and help pack the magazine into envelopes all day, and late into the night.
