Ahoy Campers!
We've got quite a few events planned in the pipeline for the rest of the semester, and here's how you can have your say...
GENERAL MEMBERS MEETING:
Tuesday 7th March, 5pm, The Venue, The HUB.
New to Drama? Wanna find out what we have up our sleeves for the rest
of the year? Then come along to the Venue at 5pm this Tuesday, meet the
committee and we'll fill you in!
Got a comment or an idea? Come along and let us know!
You'll also get the opportunity to meet the president of DCU Drama,
Marie-Louise O' Donnell, who will be telling us all about a fascinating
project...
Marie-Louise O Donnell, our erstwhile president (as some of you may
know) has left her position in the Helix and has returned to DCU to
lecture. She also has a grand vision and and a plan to put on a vocal
chorus-type show that was written by a student some years ago. The
student in question was a paraplegic and spent several years writing
this piece (his thesis) one letter at a time. It is an intriguing
proposal, and will require a chorus of about 50 and at least a year to
prepare.
I think it has the potential to be an absolutely unique production and
is the sort of thing that could catapult DCU Drama into the realms of
national exposure, which is never a bad thing...
Want to be a part of DCU Drama history? Then DO NOT MISS THIS MEETING!
BUI BOLG & ST. PATRICK'S DAY:
Be a part of DCU Drama's involvement in headlining the St. Patrick's Day Parade!
Our friends in Bui Bolg write...
Hello to Members of DCU drama,
My name is Eddie, and I am the head of performance for Bui Bolg
Production company. We are performing in the St Patricks festival
Dublin on the 17th March, at the Head of the Parade, and we are
currently looking for Performers/Actors to participate.
St Patricks Festival is what we call a showcase, for all the
production companies and major business, who are looking for unusual
and different performance pieces to hire for the coming year. As a
showcase it is a non paying performance, BUT WE USE THIS OPPORTUNITY,
to cast all our paying performance pieces for the year. (like Oxygen,
Meteor awards and many more in Ireland and abroad)
So if you are interested, Please reply to eddie@buibolg.com Or 053 23183 and leave Your Name, Phone No, and E-Mail.
