Announcements for this week: 1) Drama drinkies & meeting 2) Arts Week review 3) Advertisers & Promoters 4) Upcoming plays === Drama Drinks === This Wednesday we will be having a meet & greet session in Matt Weldon's Pub (The Slipper) from 9pm onwards. While we've been distracted staging productions and dealing with errant actors and missing jazz bands, we've never had a proper Members Night. This is traditionally where everyone tries to get the committee drunk. Any suggestions/ questions/ complaints can also be addressed to the nearest inebriated committee member for this one night of the year. So 9pm, Wednesday. Mine's a Baileys :) === Arts Week Review === This year Arts Week scaled new heights, with Stars In Their Eyes generating untold amounts of scandal, Eclectic Music Soc baring their all, One World fecking some paint at everyone within reach, and Fotosoc getting everyone well and truly sozzled in the middle of the day. On behalf of Drama a big congrats has to go out to absolutely everyone involved in the fantastic Stars in Their Eyes, the Opening Night crew (chicken balls, anyone?), the Comedy Night orchestrators and the Short Play organisers. Thank you to all responsible. === Advertisers & Promoters === Drama has always relied on an excellent publicity network to get a good crowd to our events, and this year we've even more planned than before, so we'll be putting together a small team to work out promotional strategies. This means everything from designing posters to sticking them up, from flyers and leaflets to webpages and e-mails, from printing tickets to selling them to taking them on the door. If you've ever wanted to go into advertising or design this is a fantastic opportunity, and it's the best experience you can get for being PRO for any other society or organisation. Once you've done Drama, you can do pretty much anything! We'll be co-opting members for this team. If you're interested just mail drama@redbrick.dcu.ie. === Upcoming plays === We have two excellent productions in their final stages - "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me" is coming to the Helix next week and "Antigone" follows in the Venue the week after. A lot of work has gone into both, so come along and support your classmates and friends over the next two weeks. Watch An Tarbh and your inboxes for more info! As always, our fabulous website is to be found here http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~drama ________________________________________________________ "Everyone knows that art is not truth.
