Hey guys, Now i know I'm the absolute worst person in the world for keeping contact but I was just thinking how for a good while we did manage to keep a bit of an email chat type thing going. Nothing exciting but I do remember many a Friday drinking session coming out of it Being so far away it's easy for me to forget to keep in contact and all that stuff and over the past few weeks i've been a bit worried that you end up drifting apart and not keeping in touch with people. So anyway i'm being a bit proactive. I've pulled as many email addresses out of my contact list as I can find, some are probably old and out of date but we can work on it. Hit reply all, say hello and let us all know what you're up to. For my part in case you didn't know. I'm living in New Zealand at the moment, promoting student events and lifestyle in a small city that has 30000 students. I run some events, edit a website, support students to do stuff and do lots of other weird things but nothing too exciting. Me and eimear have been here for over a year. Eimear works in Massey University working on Clubs and Socs development. she's basically the SPC, SCC and Ian Russell all rolled into one for those who know what i'm talking about. We're not staying here forever, we're trying to figure out what to do next so if you are looking for a free bed in nz you better book your flights quick. I can't think of anything else. Just wanted to say hello. btw i don't think fergus's email is correct and i've know i've forgotten some people so add them if you like Kev -- Kevin Delaney Work: 0064 6 350 1832 Home: 0064 6 355 1830 Mobile: 0064 27 455 9600 (New Zealand) Mobile: 00353 86 6010434 (Ireland)
Hey all Well, I'm working a slightly boring day job with a recruitment agency. You get to meet some nice people and the group I work with are lovely but the admin work that goes with it would bore you to tears! On the upside it pays the bills and allows me to do other things like work with Astronomy Ireland. I have been with them since November but have officially took over all things event related since January 1st and already things are becoming a bit mental. Might even have a full time job with them before the year is out! (would be sooooooo cool). Hope you are all well. What's the scea with the rest of ye? Hello! It's Thursday morning and I'm in work. (After travelling for a year I've ended up in Offaly working for the Offaly Independent. If anyone has any Offaly scoops send them on!) I had a bottle of wine last night and failed to make the gym this morning. I adored travelling and want to do something similar again soon. I have a Careers meeting in DCU tomorrow to help me check out my options for getting jobs overseas or becoming a teacher here so I can teach for nine months and holiday for three. I live in Tullamore now and most exciting bit of life at the moment is that I have my first drum lesson the week after next! -----Original Message----- From: "Kevin Delaney" <kevmagic@gmail.com> To: aideen.gallagher3@mail.dcu.ie, "Andrew Moran" <andrew.moran@gmail.com>, "Anne Lavelle" <Anne@winston.ie>, "Anthony - Yahoo" <anthonykinahan@yahoo.ie>, "cat turley" <cat.turley@gmail.com>, "Christian O Carroll" <irishemperor@gmail.com>, "Ciara Gogarty" <ciara.gogarty@gmail.com>, "Cliona Casserly" <cliona.casserly@gmail.com>, "Damien McLoughlin" <Damien.McLoughlin2@mail.dcu.ie>, "Derek Williams" <derek@derekwilliams.org>, Drama-alumni@lists.redbrick.dcu.ie, "Elaine Bannon" <elaine.bannon@gmail.com>, Eoin <eoin.norton@sunway.ie>, fergus.maloney@gmail.com, "Jenny O'Brien" <jenny.ob@gmail.com>, "Laura Ryder" <lauraryder@gmail.com>, "Louise Foxe" <lfoxedcu@yahoo.com>, "Neil Hardy" <hardy.neil@gmail.com>, "padraig.kilbride2@mail.dcu.ie" <padraig.kilbride2@mail.dcu.ie>, "Riona Judge McCormack" <rionajmc@gmail.com>, "Sarah K Martin" <sarah.martin4@mail.dcu.ie>, "Williams, Derek" <derek.williams@intel.com> Date: Thu, 25 Jan 2007 14:05:45 +1300 Subject: reconnecting

Hey everyone, Wow there's some fairly old school hats thrown in on that email address list there alright!! [pales in comparison!] As a bit of a former music soc head and very much only recently graduated, I feel a little bit out of the loop but shur what harm... it was all for one back in the day... er... kinda! Anyway, nice to see someone else is experiencing the beauty of the life of a regional journo... high five Laura... started in the Longford Leader just after Christmas - all good, except for the pay which is simply fabulous. Other than that, plenty busy and I just LOVE parochial news (there's a churchgate collection this weekend in Ballymahon - give generously please!) Oz is next on the list but Kev, I fear you'll be long departed by the time I get around to it! Anyway, that's my tuppence worth. Apologies to half the people on there who don't know me... and a big shout out to all the rest of ye whom I haven't seen in ages! (And of course... keep me posted on any Longford scoops!) Later grizzly dudes! Denise On 1/25/07, Laura Ryder <laura@offalyindependent.ie> wrote:

I'm freelancing away. Mainly with The Business Post and www.enn.ie, the latter has very nice chairs. Writing a screenplay for a short about invigilating, it's a comedy, should be actually filmable unlike my last one which was a bit too fantastical. Will probably be disgusting all of DCU when I do a brief role in a UCD Dramsoc production. If it goes ahead it's a one-off and the guys behind it are mates who need a favour.

Hey everybody, So the scea (as elaine puts it) with me is i'm back in college again. I received my diploma in Event Management last year and now i'm doing my degree in it in DKIT. The college is great but the C&S haven't a patch on DCU!!! I'm attemping to change that without going as overboard as I did in DCU. They don't really have rules and regulations for settimg up clubs and you don't even need to do a Grant app, Elaine it would be your dream come true. Events here pretty much suck its all just parties in niteclubs with no imagination. Kev we need some of your know how!!!! Anyway thats all with me chat to ya'll soon Lisa

Being so far away it's easy for me to forget to keep in contact and all that stuff and over the past few weeks i've been a bit worried that you end up drifting apart and not keeping in touch with people.
Just wanted to say hello.
btw i don't think fergus's email is correct and i've know i've forgotten some people so add them if you like

To all those who are asking why are you on the list...... You're getting the mail because you're suscribed to teh DCU Drama Alumni mailing list, a mail sent by any member of the list to the list's email address will be relayed to each suscriber - How you got on the list I don't know - but chances are you were part of DCU Drama at some stage Here's the link to unsuscribe from the list so you won't get any more mails http://lists.redbrick.dcu.ie/mailman/listinfo/drama-alumni It's at the bottom of the email - surely a lot easier than hitting 'Reply to all' and asking the same question over and over? Only one of the mails I've received so far actually came from the mailing list! The rest of them were sent by people hitting 'reply all' to the individual email addresses, like I'm doing right now. That's not how mailing lists are supposed to work, if you're using the redbrick lists server, the mails should be going TO 'drama-alumni@lists.redbrick.dcu.ie', and the redbrick server will mail it out individually to everyone. It should add a '[Drama-alumni]' tag to the subject so you can sort them. When you get your password and log in to the list, you can also choose to receive at most one email a day, and the server will store them all and send you a single digest with the mails from that day. Nice if there's lots of mail to a list and you dont need to see it immediately. Just letting y'all know ;-) -Stephen, Redbrick Admin 2006/2007 ;) On 1/25/07, Derek Williams <derek@derekwilliams.org> wrote:
