[Drama-alumni] This Week...One Act Festival!
Ahoy Dramaheads! Lots happening this week (for a change, hah!) ONE ACT WONDER FESTIVAL: Is happening this week from Monday to Thursday in St. Pat's, Drumcondra. Our two one act plays that some of you saw during Arts Week will both be performing again tonight (Monday) from about 7.30pm. If you missed out on the chance to see them before, you simply cannot afford to miss them again! Tickets are terribly cheap - just 4 euro for the night OR a measly 10 euro for a week's admission! The festival runs until Thursday night and finishes with a zany evening of workshops, Whose line and other random madness before retiring to the Cat & Cage for the prize-giving ceremony and karaoke:) More fun than you can shake a big stick at! In other news, we need volunteers to help out at the festival... we need people to help out in the front of house dept, selling tickets and showing people to their seats and whatnot...your prize will be free admission! Can't beat that really, contact Joe at elo@dcudrama.ie to offer your services! THE SOCS BALL: Finally, it's actually happening this week! We're counting on our Drama members to Make A Scene! If you haven't collected/paid for your ticket, contact Shane at treasurer@dcudrama.ie to sort it out... PANTO! PANTO! PANTO! PANTO! Yup, this bit is about the Panto. Funnily enough. I've been watching some of the rehearsals and this show is going to be one of the funniest things Drama do all year! It's got everything - merry men, maids, babes, smut, singing, dancing and all kinds of craziness! You cannot afford to miss it, it's all happaning in the Venue during week 11 - watch out for our posters! MURDER MYSTERY QUIZ in association with MURDER SHE WROTE SOC: On Thursday night in the Venue, Murder She Wrote are having a Murder Mystery Quiz night! It's a bit like a table quiz, except there's a corpse and the object is to determine whodunnit. Kickass, DCU Drama will be helping out on the night, come one, come all and display your sleuthing skills! HOODIES: We are currently exploring the idea of getting hoodies for our members. There is quite an active forum on life.dcu.ie discussing this very topic - go check it out and give us your opinion! I realise that there are a few bugs with the forum page, such as when you click on "forum" you get a message that reads: "MySQL has encountered an unknown error. To find out the exact problem, please set the DEBUG flag to true in header.php," so here's what you do... 1: Go to life.dcu.ie and log in. If you cannot log in, you're in trouble and we can't help ya there. 2: Click on "Forum." You'll see the above bit of computer jargon - FRET NOT! Keep reading... 3: Click on "Today's Posts" 4: You'll see "Hoodies" under the "Subject" column. Click on "Hoodies" and give us your thoughts! Right, that's it - get out there and Make A Scene!
