if my tone is too impatient or im looking too unoptimistic about the whole thing then by all means but i though you should have a look at it before its sent to him. I think he's being very unrealistic about the whole thing but if he feels that he can put 100% into it I would encourage it only on the provision that he gets a production team togeather during the first semester.

for those of you who werent there last night for the meeting please check the minutes. mails to the announce drama list should be sent to riona and she can summarise them to go out at the start of every week. if its urgent you should let riona know of the email to make sure that its ok to send out on another occasion. the email sent out about the st pats auditions has given the wrong times for the stars in their eyes auditions. this means another group mail has to be sent out. i know ive been terrible for the bulk mails but its really annoying to get five mails from drama a day with info that youre not interested in. please take this into account. cheers. Watched Best lil Whore house in Texas, good film, very different, need alot of confident (and thin!)actors and actresses- but its do-able and we can pull it off!! cya'll at Rocky horror! Lorraine

Hello! Sorry for my absence lately, my cold turned into a nasty chest infection, still on the old antibiotics etc. Anyway, a few notes about the mailing list and site: (1) Mailing List Any committee member can send mail to Announce-drama without my intervention. Basically, any mail from these addresses will go straight through to the members... drama(a)redbrick.dcu.ie coco(a)redbrick.dcu.ie mail(a)paulmay.org christopher.carroll2(a)mail.dcu.ie daniel.bevan2(a)mail.dcu.ie elaine.bannon2(a)mail.dcu.ie lisa.mullaney2(a)mail.dcu.ie lorraine.turley3(a)mail.dcu.ie maeve.riordan3(a)mail.dcu.ie margaret.mcauliffe3(a)mail.dcu.ie riona.judgemccormack2(a)mail.dcu.ie ...without the list administrator (me) needing to approve the messages. Ideally it's best to minimise the mail that goes out to the members by combining news and information into a couple (or even one) mail per week. (2) The Website The website is a bit like the list, anybody on the committe can add news and events to the site without my help. Check out http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~drama/admin/ (username:admin, password:letmein) There you'll find a simple form for adding news, just 'Title', 'Text', and 'Added By'...then click a button, and whoosh, magically news is added to the page. The events page is a bit more complicated, but you just fill in the fields you need, ignore the others...and click the button. So, if you're stuck, I'm not around, and I don't answer a mail within a few hours, you should be able to stick stuff up on the site. This should be handy if I'm sick again, or not around.
