Jesus. It seems that not enough people are available to attend a meeting tonight. This is not an ideal situation, but it's worked for us in the past, so I propose an EMAIL VOTE on the following topics: 1: Date of upcoming AGM 2: DADA Best Actress 3: DADA Best Supporting Actress OK, so here goes: 1: DATE OF UPCOMING AGM: There are 3 possibilities: Tomorrow, 5pm: Little chance of reaching quorum, due to short notice. Clash with Music Soc Choral thingy & Big Union Council thingy. While I realise that truly dedicated DramaHeads will turn up no matter what, there are several who have expressed interest in running for ctte who had previously committed to the Music Soc bash. And remember, we are the ones who have had to reschedule, not Music Soc. Bugger. Wed, 2.30pm. Again, little chance of quorum, due to short notice, Chance of people buggering off home early. Bob and Eoin are shooting final-grade TV project also. Double Bugger. Week 12, at the DADAs: Pro: we are pretty much guaranteed quorum. Con: this leads to short handover time, altho several ctte members have assured me that this does not bother them, as we'll all be around next year to answer questions/help out, and most of us are going to be around over the summer. As for the elections, I don't feel that it is necessary to re-run the election for the 2 positions we have already elected. But that's just me. EGM Week 12 makes sense. We will not get quorum this week. On Tuesday, we have the Union counsil party, the choral showcase, and the class-rep party. Our membership will be split. It makes sense to do it during the next week, when we can be sure of attendance.

Hey guys, Talked with Ashley today and himself, Alan Keegan and Elaine Bannon have discussed the proposition of having the Musical in the Helix next year. I think this a fantastic idea and I would like to know two things... 1.) What do you guys think? I'd like everyone to consider things like costs, timing (as in this years musical was very rushed! only a few weeks rehearsals) and any other problems to be faced- etc... (stuff I should know about but... uh... DON'T!!!!) 2.) Could I have all the contact details that we use in the helix? I would like to introduce myself to those in charge as to make a good first impression. Anyway, could you tell me EVERYTHING that you think is important. i.e. How much will it cost approx? The advantages and disadvantages... the ups and downs... whatever!!! I really want look into this now so I won't be shocked come next September! And I'd really appreciate any help I could get from you guys. The only reason why I ran for chair was because of the enjoyment and professionalism I encountered this year on committee- thanks guys. I just wanna apologise for interrupting Dave when he was speaking today. I know there's no excuse for that kind of behaviour but I was just getting a bit frustrated that we were spending so much time discussing Elaine's proposal. I've also made the decision not to run for committee next year. I know there's no real need to announce this in a committee e-mail but I just didn't want people to be surprised when I don't go forward next week. Joey

Hey Guys, Not tryin to get ahead of myself but I'm just lookin at possible times for the AGM next week. Monday is of course Easter Monday, so that's out. Wednesday is the summer ball - don't know if we can work anything in beforehand, or something?? Tuesday is the music soc Choral Showcase, with some random choirs, Gardiner Street and the cast of Guys and Dolls - I'm really against Tuesday cause it will mean that any of the musical cast involved, as well as at least a couple of other guys that i know were planning on running for positions, probably won't make it (and personally, i won't be at all available from 5 onwards!!) Anyways, ultimately, this is of course a committee decision, and i'll do my best to accommodate whatever the committee decides. On another note, i probably don't even have to say, but as much as i want everyone to voice their opinions, we'll have to keep it more ordered in future - i think perhaps we need to keep a time limit of about 5-10 mins for someone on the floor - there's only so much that can be said on any subject before we're just repeating ourselves. If we let everyone talk for any more, we'll be there all night. Anyways, That's Me, Laters, Joe!! :)
