[Drama-Committee] Drama night out!!

Hey guys n' girls!! I know most of us are up to our eyes with exam work, or regular work but I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to a date for our night out/bbq on the beach? Im heading off to England from the 1st to the 5th of June and really hope I can make what ever it is we end up doing! =] Plus, after a certain date some of us DCU residents won't have Dublin addresses...perish the thought...and coming up from home (sweet home...) could pose problems! Oh yeah...n' Bob is being deported back to Clare on the 19th?! am I right Bob?! Any chance of you making a one night appearance after that date??? Hope everyone's study is going well! Roysh, Here's the deal, as far as I am aware... I have just sent in a cheque rec for 1,726 euro to the SPC. That pretty much clears what Drama owe me, apart from 20 bucks here, 10 bucks there, which I am willing to let slide. Cormac just claimed 1,150 euro to pay NOMAC for the costumes used in the musical - he tried to contact Shane to no avail, and the late charges were piling up on the costumes, so I told him to belt away. Dave has sent back the scores from Guys and Dolls, at a cost of 52 bucks, which he will be claiming back. Eoghan has a receipt for about 1,500 euro for hoodies, which he will be claiming from Siobhan Byrne. SO FAR: 1,726 + 1,150 + 52 + 1,500 = 4,426 euro claimed back out of the 5,000. What else has to be paid for? Iain's 300 euro? Who is looking into that? Incidentally, the much-awaited BackWoods Boys video (Live! in the Venue) is now up on youtube. Just enter "dcu drama" in the search bar. ALSO: Martin French needs a new UV bulb for the light that he lent us, cos we broke his original one. Also, we need to sand down the lecturn before we give it back to him (like, this weekend. Volunteers?). I have 140 euro in takings from My Mother Said, and 30 euro for Jennifer Lavin's Hoodie in the cash box in my gaff, which I shall lodge as soon as I can. hey all, just a few things. . . .i lie, theres a lot, and i'm not even sorry. a. it would be great if some of the committee, current or future, could make it to nightmare rehearsals this sunday. the kids have finished the opening number and i'd like you guys to see it and say what you think. also, it would scare them into trying really hard. it would onl take 15 mins and you wouldn't have to address the class if you didn't want to. it's beechwood community centre, ranelagh, dublin 6. . . . . i can meet someone in town and bring you there if you like. anytime between 12 and 1:30. b. i am on the director/choreographer situation. i was onto a great choreographer who will call me back tonight. she would be really enthusiastic, but she has a small child and would need to know the hours. otherwise, the choreographer for nightmare is fantastic also, just come check her out on sunday. i am onto a lot of people about directors, but its hard to know exactly what were looking for if we don't know what kind of show were doing, but hold that thought coz i have people calling me tomorrow. theres one guy i want to sink my teeth into but i just have to get his number.mwahaha c. i spoke to my agent and she gave me some great advice for the musical. if we want papers writing articles about us, we need an edge, eg, susan's dad is a celebrity/ john is performing despite his battle with leprosy/ it's an irish premier . . .(her words not mine). also, the main bulk of bums in seats will probably be from school groups so a p.c show would be good. perhaps something educational? eg, Aida could appeal to music and classical studies students. we could send cover letters to schools with booking forms and there could be a teacher's pack with educational questionnarres for students. eg, what supressive political regime were the von trapp family fleeing from? make it sound educational. can anyone make sunday?? email me back if you can. -- spread the flange. new world order.
