Hey everybody, I know I said I'd forward this on a few days ago but I didn't get a chance until now. I hope to print these off in week 3 after we elect our first year rep and external liaisons officer so I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer before then. A few points to note: Most of you won't be able to see the font I've chosen for the headings (except maybe Conor). It's actually really nice. John, you asked me to changes to the Secretary description. If there's anything I missed, please let me know. Liana, check out the 'Role of the Director' and see if your happy enough. Susan, I didn't include the guide to planning an event you provided. There's one in the SPC handbook that's perhaps a little more relevant to planning an event in DCU. Last year we raised 8000, 4000 was given to projects in ethiopia and Zambia the rest on feeding the homeless, visitations and the plough youth club. Im eagerly searching for people to dress up as a homeless person like in Oliver for monday the 16th of october. Hey guys, Okay, next week is Clubs and Socs and there's a few important things to get done between here and then. *LIANA * AS soon as you get this send 25 A3 posters of Make a Scene (with the baby crying) to campus print... A3!!!! 25 A3 posters of the Streaker & one A4. Could you MAKE a new Broadway poster- with less "stuff" on the page but basically saying " we're going to Broadway " or whatever. Send that one to the committee. Lastly the poster "Before Anyone did blah blah blah..." At the white section in the bottom could you write the following *Trip to Broadway!!!* *Join DCU Drama * *Tues 3rd & Wed 4th * *with the chance to win a DCU Drama hoodie* *Sign up in the HUB* *Make a Scene!* ** Or something to that effect. Don't make it fancy- plain writing, nice font and the DCU Drama logo at the bottom right. *Costumes!* Everybody MUST wear a costume! SO go home and get out anything that'll do as a costume. Bui Bolg will be up also which is great but they most likely will be manned by the two people who bring them up. *Things to purchase for stand* Joey could you pick these up? Raffle tickets (cloakroom tickets) Balloons (black and silver) Sweets (or other stuff to give away) Ribbon (for the BUi Bolg guys) Anything you think might make our stand brilliant. Anyone else has any suggestions just spam this mailing list (or Joey) *SUNDAY* OKay a very important job is happening here on Sunday CLEANING THE EQUIPMENT ROOM Time: 10am Venue: Equipment Room Committee members needed: ALL OF YOU (bar Susan- see below) Guys we need everyone to do this cus this job will take us a while so get your asses down to the equipment room for 10am on Sunday. *SUSAN* Worry about ONE thing- sponsorship. See if you can get any clubs/bars etc to sign up. WHich leads me to... *MEMBERSHIP CARDS* If we get a club/bar to sign up we gotta make membership cards for the EGM (this will also encourage people to go and whatnot!) but we need to know soon. ANd Joey could you check out the cost of lamenating paper while in town? *EOIN or LIANA* (but posters first!) Hey guys I'm hitting on something that has to get sorted out at the begging of the year. i know since coming back to college weve had a hectic first week, and everyone was just glad to make it to the weekend without collapsing. Now i know that the traditional day for last years committee meeting was monday night.But i know that alot of people have taken on new jobs as a result of supporting themselves in college. Myself I.m working 2- 3 nights again, joey and susan both have new jobs and eoins gone back to his normal hours in RTE , and liana works about tweleve jobs. Hence i would really appreciate it if you could let me know which nights during the week you have free and which your working and ill see first off if theres a night during the week that everyones free for committe meetings,and well go from there. just email me instead of bothering the committee list. Hi Guys, Just wondering what the story with the posters is? I thought someone was going to send me them so I could print them out on my Dad's printer - but I cant remember who said they would!! Does anyone know? Or if the person who said they would is, in fact, reading this message - couldya send them on??
