Hi Guys,
I'm going to try and make this as short and sweet as possible. Over the past
few weeks, I've been seriously thinking about my position academically as
well as my own general happiness. I had a great year with drama last year
and despite the stress I am exceedingly proud of our achievements as a
committee and my own personal achievements as well. However, I don't think a
committee position this year makes sense for me.
Recieving my second semester results today really put the nail in the coffin
for me. They weren't up to my own high standard and due to the fact that I'm
going into my final year of my degree - I have realised that I need to focus
more on my course. I have one more chance to do as well as I can and being
on the committee requires a committment that I just won't be able to give.
In addition to this, during the musical, and most of last year in general, I
wasn't really myself. I could never really put my finger on what it was -
and I still don't know. But I think that resigning from the Drama committee
may be a really good thing for me.
Guys, I love you all so much and know you're gonna do an amazing job! I
realise I have put you in a position to elect someone new for next year and
since that can't be done before the EGM in October, I can make any posters
you guys need until someone new is elected. Just let me know if you need me.
Thanks for everything, hope you all understand.
