Hey guys, attached is the rota for Clubs and Socs Day so far. I pretty much just slotted everyone in where they said they had free time, so don't worry, you will have time to get something to eat at some point during the day! It's kind of unbalanced at the moment, there are too few people for some hours, and too many for others, but hopefully we will get a good response from Pauric's announce drama email. If you get any replies, Pauric, please forward them on to me and I will put them into the rota too! Thanks! Susan :-)

DCU DRAMA COMMITTEE MEETING * * *Agenda: **Sunday, September 30th, 2007*** * * * * - Ratification of last meeting's minutes - Any matters arising from the minutes - Clubs and Socs Days - EGM - One Act Wonder Festival/ISDA - AOB * * * * *Absent: *Yvonne *Clubs and Socs Days:* - stand position: next to the ATM - membership: €4 - raffle: €5 per ticket, can buy as many tickets as they want - have to go to the EGM or their ticket won't be valid - committee can't take part in the raffle *- Fiona to buy raffle ticket book in Spar* - do lots of promotion during the week - postering early on Monday morning - chalk up 'Join DCU Drama' on blackboards in T101 and Henry Grattan classrooms - have fliers on the stand *- Jenni and Susan to buy sweets in Aldi for the stand* - hopefully we will have the membership cards ready by Tuesday *- Alan to find a laminator for the cards* - wear drama hoodies as much as possible next week *- costumes: meet at **6pm** tomorrow evening to root around the equipment room* - Lisa and Student Affairs are going to fund the Bui Bolg giants - they're being brought up on Monday and will be stored in V273 *- Pauric to include in the announce drama that we are looking for people to help man the stand and wear the Bui Bolg costumes* - the performance is happening on Wednesday between 1pm and 2pm in the Grattan Street - could do it twice during that time - setting up around 12pm *- Pauric to talk to Shea and Music Soc about getting four mics and an amp* - we will be giving out fliers about the workshop on Thursday *- Yvonne to organize someone to take the workshop, maybe Ciaran Gray, Alan Kinsella or Liana* - it will be a bigger workshop than the others * * *EGM:* - 7pm on Monday of Week 3 *- Susan to book CG12 for the meeting, if it's not available try T101, and if that's not available try QG14* - deposit for Broadway will be €200 * * *One Act Wonder Festival/ISDA:* *- Susan to organise One Act Wonder meeting for 10th October in DCU* - first ISDA meeting of the year at 3pm on Sunday 7th October * * *AOB:* - the SPC will not fund us for sets anymore because we have nowhere to store them - we could rent a set for each show - but that eliminates a large part of the production of the show as we won't be able to offer set design to our members * * *Next meeting: **7:30pm**, **Sunday, October 7th, 2007***

Heyup Guys, I got in contacted with Bui Bolg about renting two giants for clubs and socs day.The total cost,including transport will be 474 euro. Now Lisa Muldowney said after our performances in the helix during orientation week that she would like to give Drama something,so i am going ask her to help us with the cost of bring the giants to DCU. Hey guys, here are the minutes from tonight's meeting. Fiona's Fame thingymajiggy is also attached. Have fun! Susan :-) DCU DRAMA COMMITTEE MEETING * * *Agenda: **Monday, September 24th, 2007*** * * * * - Ratification of last meeting's minutes - Any matters arising from the minutes - The week that was… - The week that is…karaoke? - Preparation for Clubs and Socs Days - Musical update - Broadway update - New boards - Game, SET and match - Lending of flats to DCU Art - AOB *The week that was…:* - the orientation piece went down a storm - the stand was a success - the workshops went really well, maybe fifty to sixty newbies showed up - manhunt went well, good decision to only give wine though - yay for all the committee - and yay for Conor for doing the posters *The week that is…:* - karaoke is off the agenda because the SU are doing karaoke in the bar every week - workshop on Tuesday between 6pm and 7pm in CG20 - Pauric doesn't want to do it again, Bob can't do it, could Liana do it maybe? or possibly Sean Kennedy? Stan? *- Pauric to contact people* - premier of the Full Monty on Wednesday, wanted another event for this week to replace karaoke *Preparation for Clubs and Socs Days:* - want to do a performance on the Wednesday, maybe outside the Henry Grattan or in the Grattan Street - half an hour of acts organised - Alan, Fiona and Brendan are doing Avenue Q again - Take That medley - Niamh Maher will do a song - Greg Fitzpatrick might do a song too - some of the girls are going to do You Can't Stop the Beat - just bring the banner and a CD player - what about microphones? it would be simpler without equipment but microphones would look more professional *- Pauric to ask Lisa who do we need to speak to about using the Street* - there's a meeting this Wednesday at 1pm to pick clubs and socs stands - be there around half twelve or quarter to one just to be sure *- everyone to send Susan their timetables so that Susan and Pauric can work out a rota for manning the stand* *- Alan to look after the lamination of the membership cards* - we give the cards to the members as they join - Jenni has the cash box, that's where the membership money goes - separate box for the Broadway raffle tickets - people can buy as many tickets as they like - at the EGM we will raffle off the Broadway trip, and runners up will get hoodies *- Conor to make Broadway posters* - get posters stamped on Friday and put them up early Monday morning - we will just use a raffle ticket book and write people's names and numbers on the back - be nice but don't be pushy - wear costumes at the stand - there will be a workshop on the Thursday evening as well at 6pm *- Pauric to try and contact Bui Bolg* *Musical update:* - Josef Weinberger doesn't give a set price for everything - rights: minimum £93 per performance - £225 for a rehearsal set of scripts - minimum rental of three months - full details in the attachment to this email *- Fiona to speak to Alan Keegan and Susan Doyle about the process of organizing the musical* - Fame and the Wiz are both available but it might be better to go with Fame because the Wiz needs an all-black cast - Fame would probably sell better than the Wiz - it will be up to the producers to decide, but our preference is Fame - if we don't have producers by Friday of Week 3 we will go with Fame *Broadway update:* - grant ap is done - it's based on €450 and if we don't get that the members will have to pay €500 - all fine for the moment *New boards:* - a board with our drama events on it - one in the Hub, and maybe one in the Grattan Street - can get new boards from the poster people *- Alan to speak to the poster people when they come* * * *Game, SET and match:* - the flats are gone from the Venue - Shea got rid of them because apparently we were told to move them and didn't - maybe the alternative to bringing in new boards would be to get a projector to project sets on to the stage *- Pauric to talk to Shea and Jay (it rhymes!) about getting a white projector board* * * *Lending of flats to DCU Art:* - they're down in the Venue - Drama's cool with it - thank you! :) *AOB:* - signatories for signing cheques are chair, vice chair, treasurer and secretary - fliers for the stand: one side 'join drama' and the other side 'free broadway trip' - chalk up 'join drama' on blackboards *Next meeting: **7:30pm**, **Sunday, September 30th, 2007***

DCU DRAMA COMMITTEE MEETING * * *Agenda: **Monday, September 17th, 2007 *** * * * * - Ratification of last meeting's minutes - Any matters arising from the minutes - Plans for Orientation Week - Finalised calendar - Broadway - Chair's address to committee - AOB *Plans for Orientation Week:* - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11am to 4pm: set up stand in Hub - the stand is just the table with flyers, sweets and the banner (if we can find a key to the store room) *- Fiona and Megan to buy sweets for the stand* - everyone wear their hoodies** - advertise Broadway at the stand: maybe put up a poster board with Broadway Baby and pictures on it - maybe play music at the stand, but keep the videos till Clubs and Socs Day *- Yvonne to bring her scrapbook* - rota for the stand: Tuesday, 11am to 1pm: Conor, Megan and Fiona 1pm to 3pm : Alan, Pauric and Brendan 3pm to 4pm : Yvonne, Susan and Pauric Wednesday, 11am to 1pm : Fiona, Yvonne and Conor 1pm to 3pm : Susan D?
