DCU Drama are one of the largest and oldest societies on campus, with several awards to there name: Best Society 2005 and Best Supporting Actor at the Irish Student Drama Association (ISDA) Awards last year. - Are we putting a counter on the website so that it can start to build up? I suggest everyone make www.dcudrama.ie their homepage so that everytime you log onto the net, it'll automatically open- that way the site hit will rise extremely quickly! - When are we having the next meeting? Mon 29th okay? NOT for the night out, but to discuss producers for the musical- cus they've got alot to do. i.e. book the helix and whatnot. I'm speaking with Elaine next tues or wed about what she discussed with the helix already. - €309.46 owed to my parents- I can give you a copy of their credit card reciepts (to whom? Joey, Shane, Bob...) - Is the blurb okay? does anyone think we should change it or whatnot? BEST SOCIETY BICS AWARDS 2005, 2003 & 2002 Shakespearean theatre, cheesy karaoke, dramatic theatre, partial nudity and having a ball. Hold at least two events every week which include anything from musicals, pantos, one-act plays, theatre trips (Broadway for example!), the odd table quiz or the annual showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show! Also run acting, directing, technical, light and sound workshops. [Drama-Committee] Possible Play for next year

Okies, The idea was put to me a few days ago. There's somone interested in putting on the irish play "An Trial" next year and asked me would it be possible and if so would i co produce and co direct. The deal with this play is there are 3 main characters in it...Therefore only needing three irish speakers for the part. Fluency in it is not neccessary but would help. Also this is the main play studied for the leaving cert every year therefore giving an outside DCU audience. We'd only be interested in putting the show on for 2 maybe three nights but we think it could be a money maker if the schools could be ropped in. Hey guys n' girls!! I know most of us are up to our eyes with exam work, or regular work but I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to a date for our night out/bbq on the beach? Im heading off to England from the 1st to the 5th of June and really hope I can make what ever it is we end up doing! =] Plus, after a certain date some of us DCU residents won't have Dublin addresses...perish the thought...and coming up from home (sweet home...) could pose problems! Oh yeah...n' Bob is being deported back to Clare on the 19th?! am I right Bob?! Any chance of you making a one night appearance after that date??? Hope everyone's study is going well!
