Hey all,

Just in respect to everything...

Dave, I didn't realize that someone shouted abuse when you stepped down from chair- that's an absolute shamble and I agree with Dave that the meeting should be chaired more efficiently and also that someone should say something to the offender (whoever she is) and do as Shelly said, it is completely unfair that anyone be subject to that... but Elaine's point went on for way too long and granted I asked alot of questions about it, i still felt the matter could of been dealt with quicker.

Speaking of Elaine, I feel sorry for the committee. As it neared 8pm, and people had left, Elaine proceeded to shout down at the committee from the top of the lecture theatre. This was uncalled for and made drama look extremely unprofessional- perhaps someone would like to mention it to her that if she has something to say to the committee, that she say it politely and in confidence, and not shout it out in front of the general members.

Also, Joey I urge you to reconsider running for position next year, your experience and professionalism are a must in next years committee.

I think tuesday or thursday would be good for AGM???

Anyway, we better let the members know (so we have quorum!)
Steve

I agree with Dave. Joey i think its a terrible shame that you aren't running and i do hope you'll reconsider.

As for those taunts Dave i have to be honest and say that i didn't hear anything said when you said you couldn't run for chair. My apologies about the mix up with the ballot papers. I'm a tithead. But as soon as you started to do that i left the room because i had to be back in time for the show and at that point it was 7.30 so i heard none of this abuse and i'm now very curious as to what lil shit felt they had the right to shout random abuse. It can be fine if its a little bit of banter but this doesn't seem to be the case and thats just not on. May i suggest a formal waring to this person if they turn up at the next AGM. Something has to be said about it. You can't just let something like that go and i can see why you felt you didn't have the backing of committee. Its all fine and well me saying that i would have said something if i was there but i wasn't so that doesn't matter. The point is I believe this person should be warned and if they do not adhere to the warning in the next AGM then expulsion from the meeting is the only answer I believe.

Thats my 2 cents worth anywho

Shelly

Sorry to reply again, but I  left out a critical point;

Joey, I honestly think that you should run for committee. You have
impressed me no end this year, and I think if you decided not to run it
would be a terrible loss for drama. Please reconsider your decision. I'm
pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that yor level headedness
will be a major asset to DCU Drama next year.

Dave
