Ive seen two of the shows Steve has chosen (Avenue Q and the Wedding Singer) and I would loveeee to see both of those again! They were great - Avenue Q was hilarious and definitely right up DCU Drama's alley! The humour is just so "us". The wedding singer was probably my favourite that I saw over the Summer - its really funny, and it's such a proper show - bigggg choreography, amazing lighting, sound, costumes and sets! And Les Mis on Broadway....that speaks for itself!Good choices I think!! :)On 8/30/06, Stephen Grimes <stephen.grimes5@gmail.com > wrote:This is a drama week for me!
What do people think of these shows for our Broadway trip?
Tues 30th - Avenue Q - 8:00pm - €41.75 (COMEDY)
Wed 31st - Les Miserables - 8:00pm - €36.25 (SERIOUS)
Thurs 32nd - The Wedding Singer - 8:00pm - €28.75 (or €46.25 if we want closer seats) (FEEL GOOD)
I've researched loads of shows and I think these three are the most interesting at the moment. I say Les Mis on broadway about six years ago- it was amazing! I've heard nothing but rave reviews about Avenue Q (Everybody a little bit racist sometime!) and The Wedding Singer (Stephen Lynch is hilarious if anyone has every seen him!)
Anyway- I'm open to other suggestions...
Later peeps!
Steve
