im a tiny bit wary of avenue q. only becouse i have a friend whos a musical director who takes regular trips to broadway , and he said that avenue q was so basic ( ie puppets and slap stick brutal comedy) it lost the whole broadway feel to it. He said it didnt get close to wickid or spamalot or the wedding singer. And hes seen everything, But thats just why i have a slight aprehension. but if siz vouches for it , it should be dramtastic,

could you email us all the musicals currently on?

Ive seen two of the shows Steve has chosen (Avenue Q and the Wedding Singer) and I would loveeee to see both of those again! They were great - Avenue Q was hilarious and definitely right up DCU Drama's alley! The humour is just so "us". The wedding singer was probably my favourite that I saw over the Summer - its really funny, and it's such a proper show - bigggg choreography, amazing lighting, sound, costumes and sets!

And Les Mis on Broadway....that speaks for itself!

Good choices I think!! :)

This is a drama week for me!

What do people think of these shows for our Broadway trip?

Tues 30th - Avenue Q - 8:00pm - €41.75 (COMEDY)
Wed 31st - Les Miserables - 8:00pm - €36.25 (SERIOUS)
Thurs 32nd - The Wedding Singer - 8:00pm - €28.75 (or €46.25 if we want closer seats) (FEEL GOOD)

I've researched loads of shows and I think these three are the most interesting at the moment. I say Les Mis on broadway about six years ago- it was amazing! I've heard nothing but rave reviews about Avenue Q (Everybody a little bit racist sometime!) and The Wedding Singer (Stephen Lynch is hilarious if anyone has every seen him!)

Anyway- I'm open to other suggestions...

Later peeps!
Steve
