DLI have just gotten back to me and have offered us a set design,
sound, lighting, all in one workshop for the nights of 20th & 21st
of March - week 7, in the Venue.
The guy giving the workshop is a professional who will go through all
aspects of the set (specifically for guys and dolls) and give us a run
through on how to light it and sound options etc.
I'm thinking: if we haven't already committed to a carpenter to
construct our set, could we get this guy, given that week 7 is the week
we want to get the set into the Venue anyway...?
His name is Tom Madden (I think) and he can be contacted through Anna at the DLI at studentofficer@dli.ie
Just thinking out loud, lemme know what you think...
His costs will be about 50 bucks for expenses, and the workshop will be
for 2 nights, at 3 hours per night - it's very comprehensive.
The workshop is also open to students from St Pats, Mater Dei and possibly DIT.
