DCU DRAMA COMMITTEE MEETING
Agenda: Monday, April 14th, 2008
Apologies: Jenni, Yvonne, Marian
AGM:
- this Tuesday, 6pm, CG12
- committee to be there at half five
- text anyone in Drama beforehand to get them to come
- Pauric will speak first and emphasise the fact that committee is a lot of work
- we will each talk a little bit about our positions
- Jenni will give her treasurer's report
- then there will be the election from chair down to webmaster
- we can sell hoodies at the meeting
- Jenni to bring the cash box
Lighting desk:
- Declan found a quote through Jay: €2,500
Skips:
- we need to order a skip to get rid of all our flats
- we might get help from the SPC to pay for it
- Declan already looked at quotes, they're about €200
Drama money:
- we still don't know exactly what we have
- first we'll buy the lighting desk, SPC might even fund some of it
- we should leave next year's committee with about €1,000
- we'll give money to charity as well, maybe ask John and Steve what charity they might like to give to, perhaps Stepping Stones
BICS:
- yay, we won Best Society at the Clubs and Socs Awards
- BICS is this Thursday in Dundalk
- Pauric is filling out the nomination form
- Conor to proofread it
- we will have the banner, the drama scrapbook, the Fame scrapbook, hoodies and t-shirts
- Fiona to pick up the drama scrapbook from Siobhan Byrne
- Alan has made a Broadway scrapbook
- Fiona and Pauric have made boards about our intersociety and intervarsity activity
- Pauric and Conor to make a board for charity activity
- Megan to make a barometer for charity activity
- Fiona has made a board for media exposure on campus
- Alan to make a board for media exposure off campus
- we will be bringing the end of year drama video and maybe some Six Semesters stuff, but we don't have time to make the CD
- we won't bring our trophies with us
- Susan to get the posters bound
- interview: Pauric, Jenni and Steve will do it
- we have funding for ten people to go to Dundalk from DCU Drama
- Conor, Jenni and Susan will be going from Art and Marian can't make it
- so six committee members and four non-committee members can go
- the four: Steve, John, Gary, Brendan
- Cian is a reserve if any of them can't make it
- there is a train at half nine that morning, and Megan is leaving at half two
- meet at 8am outside Spar
- Susan to email people to let them know this arrangement
DADAs:
- Thursday of Week 12, 7pm
- we can set up all our supplementary material from BICS for people to look at
- Megan to organise nibbles
- Alan to organise projector screen
- for drama members who are leaving: a printed booklet of What DCU Drama Means To Me with collages of pictures
- Alan to organise trophies, medals and certs
AOB:
- Campus blurb: Six Semesters and DADAs
- committee positions have been re-named: Head-Dawg, Money-Dawg, Minutes-Dawg, Web-Dawg, Puppy…
