Well..it's that time of year again! The biggest event in the DCU Drama calendar is quickly approaching – the annual musical! Every year we put on an absolutely show stopping performance! Past shows have included Guys and Dolls, Sweet Charity and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. But forget about what came before – this year promises to be BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER.

This year's show will be: The Full Monty!

Don't be afraid to come out and expose yourself to this musical version of the popular movie by Terrence McNally and David Yazbek.  You may think you know what it's all about, but The Full Monty is one of Broadway's most touching musicals showing the lengths men will go to keep a family together.  These regular, blue-collar guys simply take their problems in stride – displaced, unemployed, and feeling suffocated by the women in their lives – just wanting to earn a little respect.  The Full Monty's songs and dialogue will have you screeching with laughter.  Will DCU Drama go the full monty?  Do you have to ask?

Girls – think this sounds like a boys show? Think again! The stage version of the well known film is slightly different, with a much bigger role for girls with more than 4 singing roles not including the chorus.  There is even an additional female character that did not appear in the film! The females in this show are not only hilarious – but they are kick ass!

The auditions will take place during week 1 – in the X Building

Male parts sing a variety of pop, funk, rock and R&B style numbers – with harmonies

All females (except Jeanette) sing in moderate mezzo/belt range.

Jeanette sings in the Alto range.

All parts require minimum dance experience.

Please prepare a piece of music for the audition – something that suits your range and you are comfortable singing.

Also – wear comfortable clothing as there will also be a short dance audition.
