Apologies for any confusion caused by the e-mail I forwarded last night.

Basically, Aoife from UCD Dramsoc rang me yesterday and told me that, if I was in agreement with UCD and DIT that the recently vacated ISDA slot should be lotteried off, I should text Dee (ISDA Chairperson) and state this.

I later learned that Aoife had no authority to be contacting ISDA reps and convincing them to do this. As you might have gathered from the forwarded e-mail, festival organisers UCC Dramat (what is with these people? What's wrong with plain old "Drama"?) are very much opposed to the lottery as they feel it would put them under a lot of pressure at this late stage.

So, Aoife's in deep shit now and Dee has asked all reps to vote by e-mail as to whether or not they want a lottery. As we have nothing to gain from such a lottery and I have no desire to get involved in ISDA politics, I have decided to exercise our right to abstention.

Should anybody feel strongly that we should vote, please let me know as we can still change our stance before the deadline of 11pm tonight.

Hope ye're all enjoying your weekend,

Joey
