Just in response to Liana's suggestion of Aida: The show is brilliant - the music very modern and the script - very funny. However - there are racial issues there and I dont think we could cast people well suited to the roles! As well as that - its not a good show for an ensemble and the action is focused alot around 3 people. I definitely agree about Cabaret - WAYYY too overdone...but Into the Woods sounds like a possibility! I like the idea of multiple fairy tale characters all in one place...sounds kinda funny. Irish Premiers are great publicity - but I think college students in particular would be more likely to go see something they've heard of! Ive got a few ideas - but Im looking into Footloose. Anyone seen the 1989 movie wit Kevin Bacon? The songs r really memorable n' the 80's just plain rule. Anywho - cya all at the meeting! Liana - Im still waitin for that oral sex.... hey, was looking up musicals. just a suggestion, rent and hair-no can do.can't get the rights. but INTOTHE WOODS and AIDA are available, personally, i prefer these as either would be an irish premier which means more publicity. the media love irish premiers. in my opinion,AIDA suits us better, is easier, and just plain kicks ass. the rights have only just come on the market. i would keep away from the likes of cabaret as it is very heavily focused on dance, and VERY over done. but that's just what i think. see yes at the meeting.

Guys & Dolls,
We're discussing the musical next meeting, so if people want to come up with ideas before hand that'd be great cus the sooner we pick it the sooner we can advertise it in the helix program and stuff. Yahoo!
