3.) I rang most of the Broadway crowd to check details like passport, visa, insurance etc. Some of them didn't answer so I'll try again tomorrow. So far everything seems fine and there should be no problem.
4.) I'll be printing out the 40 copies of the survival guide, as was already discussed.
5.) In terms of mixed dorms- people don't really mind either way- EXCEPT it has been said to me that people would be uncomfortable if they were grouped with couples. Which is fair enough if you consider this scenario...
Eoin and Lyndsey (or Bob & Susan, or Alan & Jenni... etc) have been in a room alone for 30min...
STEVE (or other sexy character): Uh.. I have to grab my money from my room put [insert couple here] are in there at the moment... do you think its okay to go in? ANA POPVITCH (definatly not as sexy as Steve): I zus not know- maybez thez is buzzy? STEVE: Ana... I don't understand you... could we get a sexier character to explain- but still can't be as sexy as me... (enter John... sexily... but not as sexy as Steve) JOHN: Hey Steve... piss off Ana... (Ana leaves) STEVE: Hey number 3... so do you think we should go in? JOHN: Uh, I dunno... 30 mins... maybe they're only warming up... CONOR: Maybe they're only putting on the PVC now... STEVE & JOHN: Conor! STEVE: Conor, always here to knock conversations down a peg... (Enter Pauric... with his stupid Cavan voice...) PAURIC: Wats goin oin? (Steve kills pauric... excessive but necessary...) STEVE: Fuckin Cavan people...
Actually- if you ignore that scenario and just consider that people know couples want to be "up to stuff" and may be a little uncomfortable sharing a room with them... (I just had fun when writing that story that I totally missed the point...)
So I was thinking that possible solutions...
4 couples going on the trip into one room...
i.e. Alan & Jenni, Bob & Susan, Eoin & Lyndsey, Derrick & Laura... then add either 2 boys or 2 girls... But that would depend on the couples also- Derrick & Laura don't really know the other people in the room so maybe they'd prefer something else...
OR
2 mixed dorms with the couples separated... its not a huge deal to the couples- its only one week!!!
Anyway- I think it can be settled at the meeting- would people agree? Not a big deal but worth rectifying soonish.
6.) How are things going for "3 days of Rain"? Rehearsals? Posters? Set? everything okay? Joey- do you need any help with stuff?
