Hey Guys, Lemme know what you think and I'll send it out Sunday. Bob! To whom it may concern, DCU Drama Society is taking the plunge this season and for the first time will be performing one of Shakespeare?s most celebrated works - MacBeth, the great Scottish Tragedy. A drum, a drum! MacBeth doth come! This gruesomely infamous soul searing tale of ambition, greed and murder is retold by DCU Drama in a dark contemporary setting. Even by today?s demanding standards, the tragedy of MacBeth is still all too relevant and disturbing. An updated version, retaining the original Shakespearean dialogue and featuring modern settings, music and attire, this classic story of one man?s fall from grace is not to be missed. The production will run in the Venue at the HUB in DCU from Monday Feb. 21st - Thursday Feb. 24th at 8pm. On Wednesday the 23rd there will be a matinee at 2pm in addition to the main show. Tickets are E6 for evening shows and E4 for DCU Drama members or those with a flyer. Tickets for the matinee are priced at E4. However, we would like to offer interested secondary schools a flat price of E3 for any performance. We have been informed that many schools? current transition year students will be studying MacBeth for the Leaving Certificate. We are proud to present an opportunity to experience the ?Scottish Play? live on stage, and perhaps arouse interest from your students in the Bard?s great epic. Please contact drama@redbrick.dcu.ie in order to reserve tickets for your school, or contact me at dramabob@gmail.com.
