Everyone,
I should have mentioned this the first time; yes you
will be able to express a preference for dates on the play submission
application. which i've just been told may take til Friday to put on
the website so I'll try and send one to everyone tomorrow.
regards,
Dara

Hello all,
Dara here. I'd just like to clear up a few things - all our fault.
We're
simply waiting on some guy who apparently has control over all the
websites in UCC to let the submission form for the festival go up on
our website (
www.ucc.ie/dramat/ISDA).
Once he's done that we'll start accepting submssions to this e-mail (
dramat.ucc@gmail.com)
and allocating as many slots as we can, just to make this clear though:
it is not a case of first come first serve, although if that makes you
get back to us faster then please feel free to think that this is the
case. Since we haven't received any objections to the date for the
close of submissions being moved to the 23rd of this month (Feb) by now
we'll assume every college is comfortable with this.
If at this point there is still extra slots (there may not,
what with so many new colleges) then they will be lotteried off at the
ISDA council meeting in UCD on that weekend.
By early the next
Monday an e-mail will be sent to all of you giving you the time-table
for the festival, we would suggest that at this point each college get
their shit in gear as regards getting rights for their plays.
FAQ:
You will be able to express a preference for a theatre in the application form.
Please
contact our individual tech managers if you need any additional
information re the theatres, keeping in mind there is most of
what you would need on the website (some in downloadable form).
Their e-mails are up on the website, if you'd like to talk to our
overall tech manager it's Maria (
mariamoynihan@gmail.com).
We will be putting up a seperate fringe application form and we really would like to get at least a few responses.
Recommended accomodation will be listed on the website shortly.
Could
we ask that everyone who receives this e-mail send a quick reply with
simply the name of your college in the text (unless you have something
more to talk about of course), this is basically a roll call of those
who are interested in a slot for our own sanity. Do this now! Please.
We'd also like to apologise if we caused any trouble to any of
you with all our date changing, I hope this e-mail clears things up.
See you all soon,
Dara & Eve
Please feel free to e-mail us if you have any general issues and keep checking the website.
