I can get .ie domains for ?70 + VAT (~ ?95) but it is worth it, and elaine is right you can probably get sponsorship and even specific advertising on the site.
It really shouldn't be a problem to get a sponsor for the site if its drama.ie, you probably get entertainment.ie to put a banner ad on the site, and give us a couple of hundred euro (absolute minimum) a year.
there are some criteria for registering a domain name
E. Unincorporated Association/Club
Required Documentation 1. Proof of Trading letter from your accountant, bank manager or solicitor. This letter should state; "I act as accountant/solicitor/banker to this association/club and confirm that (insert domain name here) is an unincorporated association."
OR
a. A copy of the constitution of the association/club.
PLUS
2. Registered Business Name Cert (RBN 1A, Title: Application for Registration of a Business Name by a Partnership) in the exact domain name you are applying for (costs £25 and is available from the Companies Registry Office, see www.cro.ie for details of how to apply for this) or photocopy of the application form(because it can take up to 6 weeks for the actual cert to be issued) for the registered business name stamped "paid in full" by the Companies Registration Office.
But i just checked and Drama.ie is available, I presume someone else did this and discovered this already, but it hadn't been said.
So the cost of the domain is really closer to ?130 when all is said and done.
could be worth it. (Daniel does have a valid point)
Any ideas.

The .ie domain name will cost about 99 quid, a .org or .com address is about $14...that's per year.
