Jesus.
It seems that not enough people are available to attend a meeting tonight.
This is not an ideal situation, but it's worked for us in the past, so I propose an EMAIL VOTE on the following topics:
1: Date of upcoming AGM
2: DADA Best Actress
3: DADA Best Supporting Actress
OK, so here goes:
1: DATE OF UPCOMING AGM:
There are 3 possibilities:
Tomorrow, 5pm: Little chance of reaching quorum, due to short notice. Clash with Music Soc Choral thingy & Big Union Council thingy. While I realise that truly dedicated DramaHeads will turn up no matter what, there are several who have expressed interest in running for ctte who had previously committed to the Music Soc bash. And remember, we are the ones who have had to reschedule, not Music Soc. Bugger.
Wed, 2.30pm. Again, little chance of quorum, due to short notice, Chance of people buggering off home early. Bob and Eoin are shooting final-grade TV project also. Double Bugger.
Week 12, at the DADAs: Pro: we are pretty much guaranteed quorum. Con: this leads to short handover time, altho several ctte members have assured me that this does not bother them, as we'll all be around next year to answer questions/help out, and most of us are going to be around over the summer.
As for the elections, I don't feel that it is necessary to re-run the election for the 2 positions we have already elected. But that's just me.
DADA BEST ACTRESS:
The nominees are:
Lyndsey Fay: Guys & Dolls Siobhan Hickey: All My Sons Riona Flood: Merchant of Venice Doireann O Rourke: Guys & Dolls Anna Lawlor: Babez in da Hood
I would, having seen the show, like to add Orla McGreal to this list for her performance in "My Mother Said..." - Eoin and Shelly may agree with me. I thought she was outstanding.
DADA BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
Laura Whitmore: All My Sons Niamh Maher: Babez in da Hood Liana O Cleirigh: All My Sons Bridget Barcoe: Merchant of Venice Jess Duggan: Merchant of Venice
I am undecided as to whether to give a nod to Michelle Crawley for "My Mother Said..." - what do you guys think...?
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
Reply to this email TONIGHT with the following points:
1: your preference for AGM timing. Next week at the DADA's seems to be best all round solution, so i vote for that
1.1: whether you feel that we need to re-run the election for Chair, Vice Chair. Hell no, we had quorum, why waste more time?
2: whether you agree Orla McGreal should get a Best Actress nom. I didn't actually see the show (sorry), so i think it would be unfair for me to vote on this one. So, if you want to nominate her, go for it.
3: your choice for Best Actress: Hmmm, tough one, ah i think im gonna go for Siobhan
4: whether you agree Michelle Crawley should get a Best Supporting Actress nom. Yeah, why not
5: your choice for Best Supporting Actress. Oooh, another tough one, I think that laura should get this one
A total of 6 points! All answered, slightly late!
Email it all back to me, and I will let you know of the results as soon as the entire ctte have voted (with the possible exception of Charlie)
