righttt, first things first we are lacking the green stuff. Yep i know, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN. We  have around -30 in the account. I have  put i for over a grand but i wont be able to pick up the cheques until i get back from florida, where i am now. However all that lovely money that i have managed to scrap together  is going to have to pay the rights company from sweet charity. Again, i know this is pretty shit. I only found out about the rights thing 2 weeks ago. Before that everything was  fab and we had plenty of dosh. OH, and to make matters worse, the scores from the musical have not yet been sent back. i've been told that claire is sorting it.

Also, with this new grant ap system from the spc, getting our asp approved may take time though in theory it shoud be quicker and more efficient. I aint totally sure wat the story is here.

Regarding meeting up , im back in ireland on the 11th so i can meet up from the 11th onwards.  I

Finally, if anybody is on campus befroe i get back, could you please drop into una redmond to collect our cheques and lodge them to the back, as she's only back from holiday today.

Right, the end of an extremely long and boring email.
I'm going back to Universal  fro a couple more hours before it closes, so good night.

Hey all,

Thanks to Joe (and a firm welcome home too) for sending out that Committee
e-mail. Let's cross some i's and dot some t's here...

       (1) Orientation Week begins on Monday 19th of September. By that stage,
DCU should be decked with DCU DRAMA posters, etc. And I mean, not a single
place should be empty. Maybe we could incorporate a new poster idea especially
for Freshers Week...DCU DRAMA needs you, etc.

       (2) And this is important,Sarah Farrell (our wonderful and REALLY
nice SU President) has kindly informed me that we can stuff some DCU DRAMA
fliers or something of that sort into the Fresher Packs that each First Year
will be receiving. One problem is that we'll have to do this ourselves as
the bags come pre-packed. So we need volunteers to do the bag stuffing...Hands
up!! I would imagine that we (the committee) should all lend a hand and I
await a response from Ms. Farrell as to when the bags will be arriving but
it WILL be soon.

       (3) As regards our schedule for Freshers Week, the only item on our
timetable was DRAMA GAMES for the Wednesday...if Dave could get in touch
with the delectable Martin French about that??

       (4) I'll probably be getting a schedule for Orientation in a minute
via another e-mail so I'll keep in touch with this list as to the best times,
etc. But if anyone has other idea's for the week, possibly at night time,
get back to us. Also, and this is just a guess, anyone out there going to
forward themselves for the mentoring programme? Any Drama member...you see
where I'm going with this...!!

       (5) I strongly agree with Joe about a meeting. I will only be in Dublin
before Orientation, the weekend beforehand, i.e. the All-Ireland Final weekend
(C'mon the Rebels)...Sunday morning (the 11th) or even the Saturday night
(the 10th) would be good for me. Other than that, because of work, nada.
Apologies.

       (6) With regard to everything else, Shelley- sponsorship? How are
we with this? Banks (AIB), big business', childrens homes, charities...anything!!
Phaxx, I know you've been up to your lids with computer stuff in the States...any
chance of the website getting a semi-makeover in the run-up to Freshers Week??
Dave, any luck with the musicals we discussed??And Shane...are we bankrupt
yet??

       (7) Possible good news. I've forged a link with a Wexford Performance
Group called Bui Bolg who specialise in mad-cap and zany 8 foot high funny
looking characters and general craziness...ness...ness...ness. I'm currently
trying to thrash out details with their Manager, Colm Lowney over appearing
at the Clubs 'n' Socs Day and possibly helping us with other productions...Monty
Python Day...Even Freshers Week for DCU GAMES??

       Anyway, that's all for now.

That's all that my brain can handle.

       Hugs and kisses,

"Yeah. I think the Irish are going through a major image change. I mean,
the old image of Leprechauns, shamrock, Guinness, horses running through
council estates, toothless simpletons, people with eyebrows on their cheeks,
badly tarmacced drives ? in this country, men in platform shoes being arrested
for bombings, lots of rocks, and Beamish. I think people are saying ?yes,
there?s more to Ireland than this?. A good slogan for the tourist board ?
