I'll be there, going to town, with (jingle) bells on :) Sorry it took me a while to reply, was at work/asleep for the last couple of days:( Bob! On 12/3/05, Eoghan Gaffney <atlas@redbrick.dcu.ie> wrote:
A little action on this would go down a long way. Nobody's paid any attention to this so far
Redbrick, DCU Drama and Music Soc are collaborating for their Xmas

We have three bands. We have a Santas Grotto. We have presents to get and wrap. We have decorations to buy and place. And we have posters to put up all over DCU! Singer song writer, and Who's line is it anyway.
It'll be great craic, if we're organised we can pull it off!!
Every society agreed to putting 150 in for stuff [100 presents, 50 for decorations].
Shane, Can you write a cheque and give it to someone? I think either Jess or Michelle

So, can every society put forward 2/3 people, who can come in to town on Sunday, spend 450 euro on decorations and presents, and then spend the day wrapping presents?
Myself and Michelle from Redbrick are definitely going. So if you can text me or email me between now and then to let me know who's going, that'd be great. Also, if possible, have a cheque. It's going to be an effort to make sure the money doesnt get confused, so extra care has to be taken, considering there is three societies involved!
Can someone go? I can't, it's my Dad's birthday, I have to stay home for the day?
What I suggest is having a chequebook from ONE society there with us, and using that to pay for the items, then the other two societies can just write cheques to that soc.

Organise a decorating posse at the meeting on Monday? Wednesday is the ONLY day of the week I can't help out during, sorry :/
I'm going to organise with Shea and Security that the seats will be pushed in almost as soon as the show's over. If nessecary, on wednesday I will go over to the carpark and drag a member of security over, but it'll be done.
New bar has to be decorated as well... so literally as many people as you can manage to muster from your committees and societies to help out would be great!
We have a bit of hassle with whether we can get the new bar or not, as MPS are having an event there between 8-10ish. Hopefully though we'll be able to use it after them. We were talking to Sarah, so she know's our plans anyway.
Also, can Drama confirm that they have a panel for Whose Line, and can Music soc confirm that they have a singer/songwriter? We don't want to advertise
Has anyone done anything on this?
and then find no one could be found to do it at the last minute. Also Claire mentioned that the SPC PA is broken, and we'll need it (I think) for both the singer and the drama act. Anyone know where we can get one?
Bands. We'll need the bands to be there *for* sevenish.. You'll all only have an hour and a half to sound check. Music Soc, tell your band. Drama, let CPC know. :)
Peter Denham and myself are setting up sound for this. We're going to get started as soon as the seats are in

I'd like to organise a meeting for monday, we need to co-ordinate properly. And we need to decide if we are going to in on the offer MPS gave us.
Monday afternoon suits me best, maybe at around 3 or 4? I assume that 2 or 3 from each committee will be able to attend, so we can get views from all sides, and that those people will be able to decide things for their society (and not have to contact others first)
I'm available for this. Is anyone else?
Someone please reply to this. It's so far gone ignored.
