I sent this out the other nite...but only to John apparently - so here it is!
Not to be extra mean to STOCS...but their Silicon thing is always clashing with musical stuff in the venue (ie sweet charity..not sure wat happened last year) and normally they turn around to us and say "sorry lads we've it booked" (or so Ive heard)....
If its so important - they should've been on the ball and ahead of the game - like we were.
Also - and most importantly - we need that saturday for set. Its all well and good that we've got set design workshops etc - but not only do we need a space to build - WE NEED A VENUE TO REHEARSE IN! We're tight for time getting into the helix on that monday - and it would be a joke to give up that saturday in the venue to people who would've told us to fuck off if we'd dropped the ball and forgot to book it!
If no one wants to be the bad guy - Ive no problem telling them (nicely) that we need the venue on that day - and sorry.

PS I dont mean to rant - but ive just watched an incredibly violent zombie film - and so Im in kind of an aggressive mood (turns around sharply with baseball bat....to realise that its not a zombie....its just joey... phewwwww)

Hey Dude,
Was up in the SU today trying to book the venue for sillicon. We really should
have done this a while back but the weekend we've been advertising as the
con being on and what we'd like to keep is the weekend of the 30th March
- 1st April but drama have it booked. We had a look at moving it but if we
push it back we hit UCCs study period (we're running some IV events) and
if we push it forward we clash with other conventions, tis a bit of a nightmare
really. Is there any chance that you could give us the venue for that weekend?
