[Drama-committee] i sent this to the spc
Hi Folks, Sorry to bother you with this but drama are in a but of a pickle. There are two table quizzes scheduled to go on in the Old bar on Monday night, Drama's and Cumman NG's We know its Seachtaine na Gailge and we know that they have booked a bar ex for the night. They assumed that booking a bar ex meant booking the bar... Unknowing of their plans Drama went to bar management and booked the use of the bar for the night. Each society for their own reasons can't reschedule the dates. Both societies have advertised their own and here's where it gets messy..... The original plan was to share the venue but we needed to sit down and discuss the financial side of things. Every time we tried to sort it out we were shunned. Someone then got back to our tech officer and said that if we went ahead with our quiz then they would refuse to pay the SU for the bar ex that they booked and that the onus would be on us to pay for it. I'm sure you're prolly helping with the financial side of things on the night and all we want is to have a good night and to raise some money. Both societies have paid for prises and no one wants to loose out. I think we need someone to sep in. They are not accepting that they simply overlooked an aspect of organising their night and they wont co-operate with us. Like I said, sorry to have to get you into the middle of this Elaine Bannon Chairperson DCU Drama
what's wrong with the slipper on that night SERIOUSLY!!!!! or even the venue, which is a huge room, we bring in free junk food for people and stuff, that needn't cost us the earth, bottles of coke, etc hopefully trad soc will be finished in the new bar by the time we start, so people can go in there for alcohol and stuff? 087 2942137
